A Grown Up Child - Poetry by Neelum Afridi

" A Grown up Child"

"I'm a mess indeed,
Running after fantasies.
I get blind, I can't see,
Can't distinguish between these
Black, white, right and wrong.

OH I can't lead,
My way to the sacred thee!
I lost my focus.,
I can't breathe.
With this world,
How to deal?
Everything is different
Than it seemed"

There came a voice to me..
"You are growing up!"

Miss You - Poetry by Neelum Afridi

"Miss You"

Birds stop chirping
Sun stop rising
Rivers stop  flowing
Flowers stop  growing.

Smiles are fading
Eyes are tearing
Seconds are hurting
Days are not passing
All world's beauty
Seems so horrid.
O father! When you are going
When you are leaving.

 My eyes still searching
 For that charming
 Pearl so lovely
 Shinning like Mithra
 Smiling so warmly
 Oh yes my chandelier!
 I miss you really
 You are the only

 Fun is nothing
When you ain't homing
I see you everywhere
When you are on venture
As a flier
For our desires

The Arrogant Winds

"The Arrogant winds"

"I think I lost you,
Though I never owned you."
Said I when you crossed me,
Fluttering my hair over my face.

Those arrogant winds blew,
So swiftly they flew.
I tried to catch them,
Strenuously I made an effort
But they passed ruthlessly,
Pushed me away fiercely.
Thought I, they would stop,
OH no! I forgot....
"These winds are too arrogant to stop.

Don't thee amain to halt.
Yes thy have lost,
Something to you
which never belonged....."
